Press Release New Web-based HVAC Selection, Pricing and Quoting Program Creates Worldwide Opportunity for Manufacturer Maitland, Florida, October 31, 2001 The World's first web-based application for selecting, pricing, and quoting complex commercial HVAC equipment has been developed and deployed on the Internet by BCA Technologies, Inc. of Maitland, Florida (www.bcatech.com). The B2B website allows HVAC engineers and contractors to select HVAC products, build secure project schedules and allow the manufacturer's representative to price and quote the project in a fraction of the time it takes now. The solution allows HVAC products to be more easily selected by engineers and contractors anytime, anywhere without installing software locally. The secure project schedule (usually created by an engineer) can be shared with other users, including the rep, manufacturer, designers, and contractor with various permission levels set by the project creator. The time savings for everyone involved in the project is tremendous. Since this is a 100% web-based application, it is available anytime, anywhere to anyone with an Internet connection and proper permission. Using a web-based solution for such a complex product line has not been done before according to BCA's President, Brian Cumming, P.E. "This may well be the most advanced web-based product selection application in the world. The procedure necessary to select and price HVAC products based on an engineer's technical specifications are well understood, however, no one until now has executed these complicated processes, routines and programming logic as an Internet-based application. In addition, all customers are 100% synchronized with the manufacturer's latest technical and pricing data all the time - and with no publication or distribution costs." The system was developed for Environmental Technologies, Inc. (Enviro-Tec) of Largo, Florida. Enviro-Tec is a leader in the design and manufacture of HVAC equipment including Fan Coil Units, Air Handlers and VAV Terminals. Enviro-Tech released the product to its reps on September 7, 2001. BCA Technologies has developed both web and PC based programs for other HVAC manufacturers and expects that others will be going to similar web-based solutions due to the economic benefits to themselves and their customers. BCA Technologies is located in Maitland, Florida and develops software solutions for manufacturers, engineers and other commercial industries.
